At Silverflye, our dedication to improving child safety through research, testing, design, and community advocacy is unmatched. We engineer our products to exceed the safety standards set by the federal government (Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard 213) for car seats. In fact, Silverflye conducts twice the number of tests required by NHTSA(National Highway Traffic Safety Administration)
At Silverflye, even though we are not required to meet the following standards of regulatory agencies, we take it upon ourselves to voluntarily test all our car seat accessories to work toward furthering child safety :
Parents and caregivers can rest assured that all Silverflye products comply with – and often exceed—all current and pending government regulations. The government standard referenced above, FMVSS 302, sets a flame retardant requirement for car seats and intended to protect occupants in the event of post-accident vehicle fires. Our car seat accessories and all other baby/child products have met this government standard. In addtion, all Silverflye products are BPA and Phalate free, maintaining our strict standards to meet regulatory and chemical standards.
As of January 1, 2015, Silverflye required all of its suppliers to eliminate certain chemical flame retardants containing bromine, chlorine or other halogens, from all components used in its car seat accessories and all other products — while still ensuring their ability to pass federal government standards for flammability. Silverflye is pleased to report that all of its suppliers have confirmed they are compliant with Silverflye's rigorous internal standards.
Silverflye insists on bi-annual car crash testing to ensure our car seat protector meets and exceeds the government standard on crash safety. We have voluntarily tested the rear facing the Graco SnugRide Click Connect 35 Infant Car Seat and the forward facing Evenflo Tribute LX Convertible Car Seat to meet the FMVSS213 Federal Government Safety Standards.
